Several different grants, project support funds, and scholarships are available to individuals and groups across the Bankstown electorate. The NSW Community Building Partnership program awards grants for community infrastructure projects. These grants are designed to support projects that:

  • Deliver positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes;
  • And promote community participation, inclusion and cohesion.

Local Sport Grant Program

Sport and active recreation deliver many personal and community benefits including developing self-esteem, maintaining health and fitness, nurturing talented athletes and contributing to individual enjoyment of life.

The Local Sport Grant Program allocates grants in the areas of:

  • Sport development
  • Community sport events
  • Sport access
  • Facility development

Community Road Safety Grants

The Community Road Safety Grants Program allows community groups across NSW the opportunity to deliver local safety projects. Locally run projects will help increase road safety awareness and support safer road use, click here.

Create NSW's Arts and Cultural Funding Program (ACFP)

ACFP provides funding opportunities for NSW-based arts and cultural organisations, NSW professional artists and arts/cultural workers across a wide range of artforms and disciplines.

Environmental Education Grants

Community groups and non-profit organisations that deliver environmental education programs can apply for grants up to $250,000. These educative programs should develop knowledge, skills, commitment to, and ongoing participation in protecting the environment.

The NSW Environmental Trust offers a range of grant programs.  These programs fund projects that rehabilitate or regenerate the environment, or promote environmental education and sustainability. For further information regarding these grants, click here.

Public Education Foundation Scholarships

The Public Education Foundation offer hundreds of scholarships and awards to students and educators in public school systems across Australia. These scholarships help students overcome barriers to achievement created by social and economic disadvantage. The Foundation also acknowledge and reward academic excellence in our public schools.
